The 20th-century barn is the heart and soul of any farm. Yet these iconic structures are rapidly disappearing from the rural landscape. Most of them have become obsolete and are being replaced by modern buildings. Christopher Schwan understands the importance of preserving these majestic buildings through his talent for ultrarealistic pencil art. His ability to capture the true essence of these barns allows viewers to appreciate them uniquely. This piece has appropriately been named "Days Gone By" as it surely has been an integral part of many treasured memories made.  Sadly, it won't be long before these memories will be all that is left of this barn and many others.
